Radiological Imaging consist of doing images of the body to see bones and interns organs. I will explain you some terms that are used in my field of study.

1- Bucky
Place where we put the radiographic plate. It can be in the table or in the wall system. The images are found on that tape.

2- Contrast Agent
Liquid product we use for examining the esophagus, stomac, large intestine, small intestine and more. Baryum is one of the most popular contrast agents used in radiology.

X-Ray exam where we can see inside the body, but as another form. Images slices are made and it is very accurate. We can know very quickly if there is anything wrong.

Hospice Nurse Article Summarizing

A Day in The Life : Hospice Nurse

First of all, I'm going to introduce you about what is my field of study. Diagnostic Imaging consists of doing radiography to see bones, organs and diseases. We can also do mammography, echography, scan and more. We can work in a hospital or in a private clinic. I chose this article about hospice nurse because it is related to me. Sometimes, I am going to take care about the patient like a nurse would do. I can also administer medicine, take vitals signs etc. That's why we are both related.
Nurses are formed to be a person that work with people of any age and any illness conditions.

The nursing duties includes many things. Every kind of nursing is not easy but hospice nursing is maybe the one most difficult. Effectively, nurses have many hats to wear. They can serve medication but they are there also to be carying and reassuring. In the palliative medical care, nurses are involved in making patient's last days to be comfortable and not suffering from their illness such as, cancer or aids or any incurable illness. They need to be very strong because they get attached to their patient even if they know that they will die soon.

To become a nurse, he or she has to take classroom in a nursing school and then pass a national examination to get a diploma. Nursing includes many class such as anatomy, physiology, microbiology, chemistry etc. Hospice nurse have to be registred nurses and have at least two years experience in a hospice nursing practice and pass the National Board exam to get the certification of hospice nurses. The earnings the first two years is not very much. That’s why many nurses take any additionnal jobs.
Nursing needs many studies and nurses need to be special people. They have to want to make a difference in patient life’s. Many qualities are needed to be a nurse such as patience, resolve, empathic. After five years, the earnings are higher and after ten years, nurse’s salary are leveled off. At this point, nurses can become clinic directors or in any admistrative position. The earnings could get up to $63 000.
Allthough, we have to keep in mind that the first hospices were founded and operated by volunteers to help ill patients with life’s routine job such as shopping and baby-sitting. This was the beginning of hospices nursing and it’s now covered by Medicare and many private insurance companies.

How to Find a Clinic in Your Area

Canadian Association of Radiologists

The Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) was based on January 4th and 5th by Dr. Gordon Richards. He invited all radiologists in Canada to a meeting at the Toronto General Hospital. At that meeting, he proposed to everyone his idea of the CAR, and finally became president of the Association he just created.

After creating the Association, they created the website. He was made by the councel of radiologists of Canada who works for the government. The CAR (Canadian Association of Radiologists) focuses on safe and appropriate quality care for patients. It also disseminates importants information for the radiologist to update their knowledge. It defends the care standards and demonstrates safety for patients. In this way, the CAR undertakes to directly influence the future of the radiology profession in Canada and to be a leader in radiology on the global stage. The physician members are respected as the experts in using diagnostic interventional imaging technology to promote, like I said, safety, efficient and quality healthcare for Canadians.

This website is available for government himself, industry and autority in healthcare and most of all, patients and everyone who wants to have more information about X-ray and Diagnostic Imaging. Everyone who wants to know more about this subject is welcome on this site. You can also become a member of this website to get new information and upload via your email address. So, you will be the first to know.

The website of CAR is related to me field of study because it's relate to health, of course. More essentialy, I'm going to work with those radiologists every day of me career. I will do images of bones of the patient and the radiologist will make a diagnostic on it. So, we will be co-worker.

How to use the Canadian Association of Radiologists to find a clinic near of you?

In this video, I will do a walkthrough demonstrating how to search and find a clinic of X-ray near of you. I will show you all steps you need to do to finally find a clinic of radiology in your city.
